Kevin L Cox, DVM
Veterinarian
A lifelong resident of Laurel and Jones County, Dr. Cox is deeply committed to giving back to the community that shaped him — by caring for its cherished pets. After graduating from R.H. Watkins High School, he attended Jones College and went on to earn his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University.
While at Mississippi State, Dr. Cox was recognized for his academic excellence and leadership as a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and was inducted into Alpha Psi, an esteemed veterinary fraternity.
In the spring of 2009, Dr. Cox saw a need for an animal hospital that offered a more personal approach and a fresh perspective. He founded his own veterinary practice, which has continued to grow and evolve while staying true to its mission: to provide the highest quality veterinary care at an affordable price.
Dr. Cox is a member of both the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. He is also an active member of Connect Church.
Outside of work, Dr. Cox enjoys spending time with his wife, Jeanna, and their three children. He is an avid golfer and enthusiastic reader, and he loves to travel and spend time outdoors. At home, he shares life with his family and their beloved pets — two dogs and a cat.

With over 13 years of dedicated service at Parkside, I am proud to be part of a team that prioritizes the highest-quality care for every animal we see. As both Practice Manager and Receptionist, I am passionate about promoting animal well-being and supporting a fear-free, gentle approach to veterinary care — grounded in honesty, compassion, and trust.
A lifelong resident of Jones County, I graduated from South Jones High School and have called this community home for over 33 years. I am happily married and the proud parent of three wonderful children. Outside of work, I love cheering on our kids – both on and off the sports fields – and spending quality time with family and friends, especially at our hunting camp.

Since joining the Parkside team four years ago, I have discovered a true passion for caring for the companion animals that come through our doors. As a veterinary technician, I actively engage in all aspects of patient care, always striving to support both our team and the pets we serve.
I am a proud graduate of Jones College and am currently continuing my education at the University of Southern Mississippi. At home, I stay busy caring for my five dogs and two reptiles. In my downtime, I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen and working on perfecting my baking skills.

As a veterinary technician at Parkside for the past four years, I have gained valuable experience in patient care and developed a strong passion for supporting both our animal patients and their owners. I take pride in offering a helping hand whenever it is needed and being part of a team that truly cares.
As a graduate of Northeast Jones High School, I enjoy life with my husband and our beautiful daughter. Our home is full of love and animals — including two horses, one goat, four dogs, and two cats. In my spare time, I enjoy making memories with my family and friends, whether we are riding four-wheelers, hunting, fishing, or horseback riding.

As a certified pet groomer, I take great pride in helping pets not only look their best but feel their best, too. I graduated from The Paragon School of Pet Grooming in 2022 and joined the Parkside team about a year ago. Grooming is more than just a job to me – it’s truly a calling. I treat every pet as if they are my own and strive to make each grooming experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
A lifelong resident of Jones County, I share my life with my high school sweetheart of 11 years, our three dogs, Sadie, Ivory, Cha Cha, and our cat, Chloe. When I am not pampering pets at Parkside, you can usually find me relaxing at home with my animals, visiting a tattoo parlor, or planning my next bold hair color at the salon.
